SAS PTO
The Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School PTO is an active organization set up to carry out both educational and fun activities for students during the school year. Parents and guardians are encouraged to join the PTO and become involved with some of the many committees we have, including class pictures, book fairs, Family Fun Nights, tricky trays and more.
Because with you, we make a difference! Over the years, we have funded the following:
- Fall and spring class trips for the entire school
- Family Fun Nights
- Kindergarten Social
- School assembles
- Teacher mini grants for classroom resources
- So much more!
At each PTO meeting, volunteers may sign up for different upcoming events. You can still join the PTO even if you can’t attend monthly meetings. We encourage school-wide parent and teacher involvement. There are many ways SAS families can get involved!
Visit the SAS PTO website here.
Becoming a PTO member not only helps us raise funds but it also allows you to stay up-to-date on what we are working on (minutes will be emailed to you every other month). When we are looking for volunteers that would allow you to come see your child at school, our members are the first group that we turn to. In fact, volunteer spots fill up so quickly it is usually ONLY for members. You will also get first dibs on after-school programs, ticket sales, etc. because we will email you about them a day or two before posting to social media or sending to the whole school via email.
Signing up to be a member does NOT mean you have to volunteer. It does NOT mean you have to attend any of our meetings held every other month. You can be as active or as inactive as YOU want!
