Food Services to add new recipes to school lunch menus


In efforts to use more local farm-to-school ingredients, the district’s Food Services department hosted a training for its staff in November. Students can expect to see some of the items prepared on menus for the month of December and beyond.

Recipes to be included in future menus include:

  • Pastel azteca (Mexican tortilla casserole)
  • Homemade granola
  • Spaghetti carbonara
  • Salad dressings
  • Barley
  • Roasted vegetables
  • Stewed beans
