GIS students in Coding Club finish semester with dancing cats

Kendra Parchinski leads the Coding Club at GIS, and 3rd graders were excited to make a sprite (two-dimensional character, like the cats pictured on these screens) dance *forever* to music played on a loop for their last session of the year. 🐈

“I like coding because we get to do whatever we want with this cat!” said Kyle Barker.

“I like how we have a lot of fun in it and do different codes every time,” said Sai Smotra. “Coding helps you program better.”

Other activities from the semester included activities to practice stamping, repeating, graffiti spray painting, animation, painting, digital art using conditionals, and building blocks of architecture.
