“Gaga Ball” kit win from fall Pie Run possible through Eagle Scout project, community support

Goshen Intermediate School students earned a Gaga Ball kit for their school during last November’s annual GIS Parent Teacher Organization Pie Run fundraiser, and Goshen High School scout Colby Bridges took on the task of building the kit for his Eagle Scout Project.

Now that it is complete, the game installation has been revealed.

Colby worked with Pie Run Chair, Heather Savatta, for months on the purchasing and planning on the Gaga Ball kit.

“It takes an actual village to get something like this done for our school,” Savatta said. “Colby left no details behind as we planned for this very install day.”

Once the install physically began earlier this month, the GIS PTO provided pizzas and sodas to fuel the troop.

Goshen Intermediate School thanks Colby Bridges, Heather Savatta, the entire GIS PTO, Scout Lead Kevin Palacino, Dr. Matthew Wentworth, Gayle Sheeley, GIS Buildings and Grounds staff, and all of Troop 62 and their Parents.

The school also thanks the local businesses that supported this endeavor: E.P. Jansen Nursery LLC and their incredibly kind donation of stone, as well as Pie Run sponsors Trailside Treats CreameryLAN Associates and WK Mechanical, Inc.
