The C.J. Hooker Middle School announced its Students of the Month for November. Students of the Month are:
- Respectful – The student treats classmates, teachers and staff with respect by valuing each as an individual, respecting differences, and valuing the work that others do;
- Responsible – The student embraces the responsibility required to maintain progress in their schoolwork and other personal goals;
- Positive – The student contributes to the success of the school by promoting a positive school climate through their actions and words;
- Honest – The student communicates truthfully and in a respectful way with classmates, teachers, staff and refrains from dishonesty in completing academic work; and
- Committed to success – The student strives for success in all they do and works to the best of their ability.
Grade 6
Cole Tetzlaff has been a positive influence since his first day here at CJH! Cole comes to class with a positive attitude every day. He works hard, and is kind to everyone. Each day when he leaves our classroom he always says. “Have a great day!” So here’s to you Cole…..and have a great day!!!
Adyan Zafar, our Student of the Month, embodies responsibility, motivation, politeness, and kindness. His commitment to academics showcases his responsibility and motivation. Adyan’s polite demeanor contributes to a positive atmosphere, and his kindness is evident in his willingness to assist peers. Congratulations to Adyan for this well-deserved recognition.
Iker Torres is a perfect candidate for student of the month. He is respectful, responsible and kind. Although somewhat quiet and unassuming, he comes in each day with a positive attitude and friendly greeting. Iker takes his school work seriously, always working to do his best. He is polite and helpful to all and is a pleasure to have in class. Congratulations Iker!
Special Areas
Aubrey Gardner is a dedicated student who is very kind and respectful. She comes to class each day with enthusiasm and a great attitude. In addition, Aubrey has such a beautiful singing voice and shines in many areas, like Chorus Class! Aubrey can always be counted on to participate, ask meaningful questions, and offer help to others around her. She is a pleasure to teach and is very deserving of this honor. Congratulations, Aubrey!
Grade 7
Gianna Lamparillo is a kind and supportive young lady, who actively participates in class. She proactively asks questions when necessary and always seeks support if she needs it. Gianna is doing a fine job this year! Keep up the great work, Gianna!
Marcos Briones consistently displays a level of maturity beyond his years. He works conscientiously in all his classes to maintain academic success. Marcos is polite and respectful to peers, teachers, and staff. His quiet confidence and strong character make him a great role model for others. Congratulations Marcos and keep up the great work!
Special Areas
Josh Marcelin is an all around great person. He puts excellent effort into his classes and greets everyone with a smile. He is polite and kind which sets a great example for others to follow. He is a great athlete both in his ability as well as in the way he works with the people around him. We all really appreciate his positive attitude, making it a pleasure to have Josh in class. Congratulations!
Grade 8
Alex Pistone is an attentive, engaged and diligent student. He is a polite, kind and courteous student who is a positive influence and model for the students around him. Alex relates well to adults and his peers, works well with other students, and demonstrates a positive attitude at all times. He is an excellent advocate for himself and works hard to achieve his best. Alex is a quiet leader who sets an excellent example.
Nathan Cubillo is a diligent, respectful, and courteous student who comes to class each day prepared and ready to engage. Nathan works well with his peers, is kind to others, and is committed to academic success! He always puts forth his best effort and sets a good example for others to follow! Congratulations, Nathan!
Madison Escobar is a kind, friendly, and hard working student. She arrives to class every day with a smile on her face and a positive attitude. Madison always puts forth her best effort and serves as a great role model for her peers. Congratulations, Madison!

Abigail Warland is a talented singer and sets a wonderful example for others to follow. She is a very dedicated and outstanding student who continues to have a willingness to always do her very best in all areas of music and performances as well as all of her classes.
