CJH names June Students of the Month


The C.J. Hooker Middle School announced its Students of the Month for March. Students of the Month are:

  • Respectful – The student treats classmates, teachers and staff with respect by valuing each as an individual, respecting differences, and valuing the work that others do;
  • Responsible – The student embraces the responsibility required to maintain progress in their schoolwork and other personal goals;
  • Positive – The student contributes to the success of the school by promoting a positive school climate through their actions and words;
  • Honest – The student communicates truthfully and in a respectful way with classmates, teachers, staff and refrains from dishonesty in completing academic work; and
  • Committed to success – The student strives for success in all they do and works to the best of their ability.

Grade 6

Max Niedzielski is one of the hardest working 6th graders on the purple team! Each quarter he continually put in the extra effort needed in all of his classes. Max is super polite and kind to everyone! He goes out of his way to help others! We hope Max knows that we have seen such growth for him this year! We know he is prepared and ready to meet the challenges for next year! Great job, Max!  

Luke Hand is our standout student of the month on the Yellow Team! He’s mature, responsible, super smart, and always thinking of others. Luke handles everything with ease, showing his intelligence in the way he tackles challenges and helps his classmates. His thoughtful nature shines through in every interaction, making him a real asset to our team. Awesome job, Luke!

Caroline Vass is a friendly, outgoing and responsible 6th grader. She is a hard working student who exhibits enthusiasm, respect, and  a great sense of humor. She makes sure all of her assignments are in and actively participates in class discussions. In addition, Caroline is kind to her classmates. If she notices that someone is struggling she is always willing to step in and lend a helping hand. All of these traits make Caroline a great choice for student of the month!

Special Areas

Sienna Kalleberg is a dedicated student who is responsible, mature, and a pleasure to be around. She is eager to do her best in all of her work and can always be counted on to participate in class discussions. She is kind and helpful to others around her, making her a great role model in class. Congratulations, Sienna!

Grade 7

Jakub Sussex has proven himself to be a polite and friendly young man, this 2023-2024 school year. He arrives to class on-time and with his supplies, ready to listen to directions and to begin learning. Jakub asks questions and accepts constructive feedback to better his assignments. He has consistently shown a hardworking and dedicated work ethic, which will serve him well in the eighth grade! Congratulations, Jakub on earning the final Student of the Month of 2023-2024 school year!

Ava Croughan has been selected as our June Student of the Month for the excellence and character she exhibits in the classroom and beyond. Whether it is on the field, in the lunchroom, or in her daily interactions with teachers, staff and peers, Ava consistently shows kindness, integrity, respect, and dedication. She is extremely well-rounded and personable- a perfect blend of intelligence, humor, and grit. Ava makes everyone around her better and is a wonderful role model and friend. Keep shining Ava and congratulations on this much deserved recognition!

Kelsey Fitzpatrick has demonstrated a commitment to her school work throughout the year. She is goal oriented and always strives to do her best. Kelsey has a sweet nature and demonstrates kindness by always being ready to lend a helping hand when needed. Kelsey is very active in sports including ice hockey and softball. This year Kelsey also participated in modified football!  As with her academics, Kelsey puts 100% effort into these activities. Keep up the good work Kelsey!

Special Areas

Anna Shapiro is an outstanding choice for student of the month. She is thoughtful, kind, and respectful to her classmates and teachers. She is very intelligent and creative, which shows clearly through the work she produces. She confidently participates in class discussions and can be counted on to work well with others around her. We are proud of your success, Anna, and look forward to having you again in future classes. Congratulations on this honor!

Grade 8

Tara Solanki is a diligent, curious, and thoughtful student who demonstrates a high level of maturity. She is a strong advocate for herself, is persistent, articulate, determined and hardworking. She has a deep attention to detail and is invested in understanding the material. She is an excellent participant in class, is always polite and appropriate, and has adjusted well to a new school environment. She is a quiet leader, whose strong character is a model for her peers.

Alenni Rampulla is a kind and responsible student who always tries her best. Alenni is respectful to her classmates and teachers, and is committed to academic success. Alenni has demonstrated a strong work ethic throughout the year and has worked cooperatively with her peers. Congratulations to Alenni on earning student of the month!

Special Areas

Vincent Santoro is a wonderful singer, performer, and student who always sets a great example for others to follow. He continues to be extremely dedicated and always works very hard at everything he does in music and all of his classes. Vincent has a great personality and is a pleasure to teach! Great job!!
