
C.J. Hooker Middle School has taken the time to recognize the Students of the Month. These students illustrate the following characteristics that CJH looks for in their school community.
The student of the month is:
● Respectful – The student treats classmates, teachers and staff with respect by valuing each as an individual, respecting
differences, and valuing the work that others do.
● Responsible – The student embraces the responsibility required to maintain progress in their schoolwork and other
personal goals.
● Positive – The student contributes to the success of the school by promoting a positive school climate through their
actions and words.
● Honest – The student communicates truthfully and in a respectful way with classmates, teachers, staff and refrains from
dishonesty in completing academic work.
● Committed to success – The student strives for success in all they do and works to the best of their ability.
Grade 6
Congratulations to Brady McElroy for being selected as the Maroon Team Student of the Month! He is always ready to lend a
helping hand, whether it’s assisting classmates with their work, offering kind words of encouragement, or going out of his way
to make others feel included. Brady’s positive attitude and generosity create a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone.
The Maroon team is so proud to recognize Brady for his kindness, leadership, and dedication to making our school a better place!

Congratulations to Harper Dobish, the Purple Team’s Student of the Month! Harper exemplifies perseverance and
dedication, always putting forth her best effort no matter the challenge. She never gives up- staying after school for extra help,
asking thoughtful questions during class, and pushing herself to improve every day. Her determination, positive attitude, and
strong work ethic inspire both her peers and teachers. We are so proud to acknowledge Harper for all of her hard work this year!
The 6th Grade Yellow Team is thrilled to celebrate Darla Gautier as our Student of the Month! Darla is a shining example of
kindness, motivation, and intelligence. She always gives her best effort, supports her classmates, and leads with positivity and
respect. Her dedication and enthusiasm make her an incredible role model and a valued part of our school community.

Special Areas:
Reagan Brady is our Student of the Month. You can always count on Reagan to take part in class discussions whether
she is asking questions or sharing information. Reagan is so kind and thoughtful of everyone around her. She is likely the person
who will look to make sure that everyone is included. She is a great role model for others in her academics and social interactions.

Grade 7
Adam Harchaoui is a very polite, responsible and respectful young man. He consistently shows a conscientious effort. He
proactively seeks and willingly accepts feedback from his teacher in order to continue to meet his goals. Adam cares about
succeeding academically and demonstrates a strong work ethic. Without a doubt, he is a strong role model for his peers. Nicely
done, Adam! Congratulations on being selected as one of January’s Students of the Month!
Xavi Espinosa Perez deserves the recognition of being Student of the Month for January, 2025. Xavi is a quiet,
thoughtful, and humble student who consistently demonstrates a commitment to achieve in school. Xavi strives to do
well in all of his classes. He comes to school prepared, participates, and is ready to learn. Xavi is also a good citizen.
He is friendly and kind to others and is always polite to his teachers and peers. Xavi is known to help his fellow
students. He actively engages in small group work and class projects. Xavi is a role model for other students and is
well deserving of this award. Congratulations to Xavi for being a stand out student at CJH!
Vanessa Quaye is an incredibly mature and empathetic student. She has a warm, kind energy that makes her a joy
to be around. Vanessa leads by example; showing goodwill and respect to both her classmates and teachers. She
demonstrates a genuine care for others that is so special. Vanessa’s engaging and friendly personality make her an
active class participant and welcome addition to any class. The world needs more people like Vanessa and we are so
proud of her for being our Student of the Month!
Special Areas:
Lamia Zafar is a hardworking and dedicated student. She continuously tries her best in all that she does. Lamia is helpful and
kind towards others, setting a great example for all to follow. Her artwork is phenomenal and she is a joy to be in the classroom.

Grade 8
Keira Lee is a well-rounded and dedicated student. She is an intelligent, curious and insightful young woman. She
is diligent, has a genuine interest in the learning process and is an excellent participant in class discussions. Kiera is
sincere, caring, considerate and has a sunny and energetic disposition. She is a positive leader who works well with
others and is a kind and positive member of the school community. She is an excellent addition to her classes and a
great example for her peers.
Meera Patel is a patient, honest, respectful, and kind student who always enters the classroom with a positive
attitude! She comes to class prepared, works hard, and is committed to academic success. Meera works well with
her classmates and displays a warm and welcoming demeanor to others. Meera’s effort and the respect she shows
others are to be commended. Congratulations to Meera!
Special Areas:
Benjamin Heater is a hard working, dependable student! He plays both trombone and baritone. This year, Ben is in Symphonic
Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Lab Band. He is a smart, respectful student that is always willing to step up and contribute
when needed. We all appreciate his kindness and readiness to learn. Congratulations to Ben!
