C.J. Hooker Students of the Month – March 2025

C.J. Hooker has taken the time to recognize their Students of the Month. These students illustrate the following characteristics that the school community looks for:

The student of the month is:
● Respectful – The student treats classmates, teachers and staff with respect by valuing each as an individual, respecting
differences, and valuing the work that others do.
● Responsible – The student embraces the responsibility required to maintain progress in their schoolwork and other
personal goals.
● Positive – The student contributes to the success of the school by promoting a positive school climate through their
actions and words.
● Honest – The student communicates truthfully and in a respectful way with classmates, teachers, staff and refrains from
dishonesty in completing academic work.
● Committed to success – The student strives for success in all they do and works to the best of their ability.

Grade 6

  1. The 6th Grade Yellow Team is proud to recognize Eshika Thapar as our Student of the Month! Eshika is a kind, thoughtful, and intelligent student who always goes above and beyond. She is an excellent role model, demonstrating a strong work ethic, leadership, and a willingness to help others. Her positivity, curiosity, and dedication make her a valued member of our team. Congratulations, Eshika!`
  2. We’re excited to celebrate Levi De Oleo as our Sixth Grade Student of the Month. He consistently shows what it means to be kind, hardworking, and thoughtful. Not only is he thoughtful and ambitious in the classroom, but he also goes above and beyond by being an active member of our school community. Whether it’s participating in school committees or taking part in clubs and activities, Levi always shows dedication and leadership. Teachers and peers admire the way he steps up, works hard, and treats everyone with respect. We’re lucky to have Levi De Oleo as part of the purple team- keep up the great work!
  3. Congratulations to Ivanna Aldana for being chosen as Student of the Month for the Maroon Team! Her hard work, positive attitude, and dedication to both her studies and her classroom community truly stand out. She has shown great leadership, kindness, and a strong commitment to excellence. We can always trust that if someone needs help, Ivanna will be willing to assist. This recognition is well-deserved, keep up the phenomenal work, Ivanna. Your efforts continue to inspire those around you!
Special Areas:

Ashley Jordan is our selection for student of the month. Ashley consistently demonstrates so many qualities of being an exceptional student. She can always be counted on to take the lead in our discussions and group activities. She is a role model forothers to follow. Her work ethic is tough to match as she works hard, is responsible, and is motivated to always do her best. She treats others with respect and kindness, showing empathy for others. She truly is deserving of this honor!

Grade 7

  1. Ian Muratovic is a kind and friendly young man. His teachers all agree that he is always motivated to do his best work and lets his inquisitive nature lead the way. He is a truly hard-working and determined student, who is always willing to ask questions in order to produce quality work. Ian models kindness, respect and responsibility for his peers. Congratulations, Ian, and keep up the great work!
  2. Erica Burns is a polite, kind, and friendly student. She is a good self-advocate, intrinsically motivated to succeed, and always gives her best effort. Erica always comes in with a smile and a ready-to-work attitude. She greets her teachers and classmates with enthusiasm and pure joy.
  3. Ana Hernandez has shown great determination, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude throughout the school year. Her cheerful personality and enthusiasm bring energy wherever she goes. Ana is a kind and considerate classmate; her eagerness to contribute to class and help others make her an excellent role model. Ana does a wonderful job of balancing her academic responsibilities with her outside commitments and interests. Whether it is on the track or in the classroom, she always gives it her all. Caroline Vass is a dynamic leader in the classroom, consistently engaging in discussions and encouraging her peers to participate. She demonstrates a strong work ethic by using her free periods to complete assignments and motivates others to do the same. Her willingness to help fellow students makes her a valuable asset to the class. Congratulations on this well deserved honor!

Grade 8

  1. Andrea Hoskins is an eighth grader who is always prepared and ready to learn. Andrea puts forth great effort each day and in all academic areas. Her behavior is outstanding and she is a role model to her peers. Andrea is an active participant in all subject areas and is a great classroom helper.
  2. Angela Ical Flores is a conscientious, patient and respectful young woman. She has a genuine smile and has an upbeat and friendly manner that brightens the world around her. She is polite, responsible and attentive. She is a strong advocate for herself, has a positive attitude everyday and is always pleasant to everyone. She works hard to achieve her best and is unafraid to seek extra help during class, her free periods, or after school. She is genuine in her efforts and sets a bright example for other students.
  3. Aleiney Brito is a diligent, creative, and cooperative student who treats everyone with kindness and respect. She enters the classroom with a positive attitude, readily collaborates with others, and always strives to do her best. Aleiney is committed to academic success and serves as a role model for her peers. Congratulations to Aleiney!

Maeve Doody is a diligent and positive influence in the classroom, inspiring others with her dedication to her studies. Her attention to detail and enthusiasm for learning are contagious, often prompting her peers to improve their own efforts. After completing assignments, Maeve takes the initiative to enhance her skills by experimenting with technology, showcasing her commitment to continuous improvement.
