#FacultyFriday: Adam Yaun

This week’s #FacultyFriday spotlight is on Adam Yaun, a new AP Biology and Oceanography teacher at Goshen High School who just started with the district this year.

Before coming to Goshen, Yaun spent 16 years teaching Biology, Living Environment, Anatomy and Physiology, and General Chemistry at Albertus Magnus High School in Rockland County.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Dominican College (now Dominican University), and his master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Scranton.

The science educator said he decided to come to Goshen because he is familiar with and loves the area.

“The Goshen community has been so kind and welcoming,” he said, “and I look forward to being a big part of it.”

Yaun’s goal is to have a long-term science position in the Goshen Central School District, where he can be actively involved in sports, clubs, music and other extra-curricular activities.

Outside of work, Yaun enjoys sports like softball and racquetball. He and his wife love hiking and being outdoors, he said, and as big animal lovers, they also spend a lot of time visiting and volunteering at animal sanctuaries.

Thank you, Adam Yaun, for all you do! We appreciate you and are happy to have you!
