SAFE HOMES 6th Annual Summer Youth Leadership Academy! Orange County Youth grades 9-12 are invited to attend Safe Homes’ 6th annual Summer Youth Leadership Academy! Interested students are encouraged to complete the attached application (see below announcements) and return it to Safe Homes Youth Educators. This year's Academy will be held in two locations, Newburgh and Port Jervis. Applications will be reviewed until July 1st..

MUSIC AUDITIONS: Auditions for Jazz Voices, Varsity Choir and Women’s Choir will be held Wednesday, May 24th from 2:45pm-5 pm in the chorus room. You do not need to prepare or be in choir this year to audition for next year’s select groups. Any questions or conflicts with the date, please see Mrs. Scully. Come and bring a friend-see what singing with one of these great choirs is all about!

Prom tickets will go on sale on Monday during lunches. Tickets will be $100 for seniors and $110 for non-senior guests. Tickets will be on sale through May 6, 2017. Don't forget if you have a guest who does not come to this school you will need to fill out a Student Guest Approval Form and have it approved by the principal prior to purchasing your tickets.

JUNIORS: If you would like to be a Junior Class Marshall, leading the Seniors at Class Day and Graduation, sign up for this honor in the Main Office. Senior Class Advisors will then vote for one male and one female from the names on the list.

Cambridge Immerse 2017: An unparalleled educational experience in July / August 2017

Cambridge Immerse is a two week residential educational experience taking place in beautiful colleges of Cambridge University. The program is carefully designed to provide secondary school students aged 15-18 to gain an unrivalled insight into what it’s like to study up two chosen disciplines at university-level. Courses include Architecture, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Creative Writing, Economics, Engineering, English Literature, History, International Relations, Law, Mathematics, Medicine, Philosophy and Physics.

Tutorials and seminars are taught by expert tutors from Cambridge University and Oxford University in an optimal learning environment that stimulates academic enquiry; yet the carefully planned schedule ensures that the program not only meets the academic needs of the participants, but also provides a unique insight into the university city through an abundance of activities.

Tutorials provide participants with an in-depth understanding of a wide range of topics and students share and develop more informed and engaging responses to key debates within each discipline. This is complemented by a range of expert workshops, including our University Application Preparation workshops. Students emerge more confident and ready to articulate what they have learnt, with knowledge of their chosen fields that provides unparalleled academic insights – and, of course, many unforgettable memories along the way.
