Class
of 2010 make touching tribute to friend, classmate
(Back)
July 8, 2010 - During their graduation
ceremony on June 25, the members of the Class of
2010 made a touching tribute to their friend and
classmate, Hannah Crossley. Hannah, who passed away
after a courageous battle with cancer, would have
graduated that evening with her class, and her
friends made sure to keep her spirit alive during
graduation.
As the members of
the senior class were called to the stage to receive
their diplomas, they brought with them a plain,
unmarked envelope that they handed to Principal
Robert Litz.
It was only after
each graduate had received his or her diploma -- and
all the envelopes were collected -- that it was
announced that the envelopes contained monetary
donations. All in all, more than $1,000 was
collected and will be donated to the Ronald McDonald
House in honor of Hannah.
