Goshen
graduate emphasizes
hard
work for success
(Back)
February
1, 2010 – On January 15, Goshen alumnus Paul
Czech spoke to juniors and seniors at Goshen High
School. Czech, a 1979 graduate, was a
self-proclaimed troublemaker who didn’t care about
school.
“I was a complete
bum,” he said.
After graduation, he began working in a
slaughterhouse in Chester, but after a few months
realized that this was not what he wanted for his
life. He turned his life around, and put himself
through college at Temple University where he earned
a bachelor's degree in only three and a half years,
while working fulltime, in Radio, Television, and
Film. He then obtained a law degree and is now a
trial attorney specializing in entertainment law.
Czech emphasized that hard work and determination
can open many doors and allow you to achieve your
dreams. He encouraged students to focus on their
schoolwork, especially in college.
“I like to think that I was successful in college
because I had a purpose for being there,” he said.
