Welcome to the 2008-09 School Year! Our faculty and staff are eager to meet and greet their new and returning middle school students. During the summer, we have been busy with various staffing vacancies and preparing the school for opening day on Wednesday, September 3.

Look for the Weekly Parent Roundup, which will be posted on the CJH web page every Thursday (www.goshenschoolsny.org). If you prefer to have the Weekly Parent Roundup sent home with your student, call our Main Office at 615-6300 and let us know. Also look for The Gladiator, which will be published quarterly. These publications help us “spread the word” about what is happening in the Middle School.

Please make a note of the following items:

• The Middle School day will start at 7:30 a.m. and end at 2:23 p.m..
• Parent orientation will take place on September 23 from 7-9 p.m. for sixth grade and September 24 from 7-9 p.m. for seventh and eighth grades.
• The cost of lunch for the 2008-09 school year will be $2.25.
• The cost of breakfast for the 2008-09 school year will be $1.25.
• Watch for changes regarding bus stops from our Transportation Department.
• Our first PTO meeting will be held Thursday, September 18, at 7p.m. in the CJH library.

The new school year brings with it a positive energy that is shared by both students and staff. We have planned many activities, both academic and social, which will foster that energy throughout the school year.

Enjoy the remaining days of summer! We will see you on September 3.
