8 parents: Learn more about Moving Up Ceremony
(Back)
June 15, 2010 -
Dear eighth grade parents and guardians: Please
join the C. J. Hooker Middle School faculty and
staff in celebrating the accomplishments of the
eighth grade students at our annual Moving Up
Ceremony at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 22 in the
auditorium. This ceremony will recognize these young
people as they move on to the High School. A
reception, courtesy of the C. J. Hooker PTO, will
follow the ceremony from 7-7:30 p.m.
Unfortunately, each year we struggle with occupancy
limitations. Students will only be able to invite
two guests per family. Tickets must be presented at
the door for entry into the ceremony. Eighth grade
students do not need a ticket.
Seating will be available in the auditorium for
ticket holders starting at 5:30 p.m. This was noted
incorrectly in the letter sent home with students.
Any guest arriving at the door without a ticket will
be required to wait until all ticket holders are
seated. Non-ticket holders will be seated as space
allows.
We ask that any family not using any or both of
their tickets kindly return them to the Main Office,
so that others might attend.
We look forward to sharing this special day with
you, recognizing our eighth graders in celebration.
If you have any questions, please contact the Middle
School at 615-6300.
Sincerely,
Colleen M. Kane, Principal
