CJH names March Students of the Month

April 13, 2017 - The C. J. Hooker Middle School has named its Students of the Month for March.

 

 

The student of the month is:

  • Respectful - The student treats classmates, teachers and staff with respect by valuing each as an individual, respecting differences, and valuing the work that others do.

  • Responsible - The student embraces the responsibility required to maintain progress in their schoolwork and other personal goals.

  • Positive - The student contributes to the success of the school by promoting a positive school climate through their actions and words.

  • Honest - The student communicates truthfully and in a respectful way with classmates, teachers, staff and refrains from dishonesty in completing academic work.

  • Committed to success - The student strives for success in all they do and works to the best of their ability.

Grade 6

Alexa Kriney has been selected as student of the month because she exemplifies the total package for success! She works hard, and strives to excel in all of her classes. She is respectful to her peers, teachers, and everyone she meets. She is always willing to give of herself to help others. She is responsible, and a true leader. She is a positive influence and role model for others!

Anthony Lorenzo is great choice for student of the month. His friendly, outgoing personality makes him an outstanding teammate. His quick smile and sense of humor rubs off on everyone around him. Anthony consistently works hard and is continually striving to improve and do the best that he can do, to be the best that he can be.

Ethan Gamma is an awesome young adult! He is a mature and responsible student. Ethan is considerate of his peers. His positive attitude and thoughtful nature are appreciated by all. It is a pleasure and honor to recognize Ethan as student of the month.

Alexis Eidukot has shown what it means to be Student of the Month. She has been responsible in getting her work done in a timely fashion, and working her hardest at all times! She has been a positive influence in class, keeping upbeat and helping her peers to keep a positive attitude as well! Lastly, she has been committed to success by giving her best effort on a daily basis so that she can be successful both in and out of school. Way to go, Alexis. Keep up the good work!

Special Areas:

Jack Moran is committed to his success. He always puts forth his best effort and truly takes in all that is being taught to him. He takes the time to ask questions to further his understanding and to think outside the box. He is a positive role model to his classmates and shows a tremendous amount of respect to everyone.

Grade 7

Marcy Barnhorst is a mature and responsible young lady, who shows these attributes on a daily basis! Marcy is always prepared and consistently maintains focus in class. When working in groups, she can frequently be found offering assistance to other students. She models respect as she works collaboratively with her peers, whether it be as a friend, or in a new group. Marcy shows promise as a group leader. Congratulations on being chosen as March 2017’s Student of the Month!

Ashley Williams brings happiness to others by treating her peers with respect and making them feel included. She always looks on the bright side and says positive things. She manages her time well between school and sports. She takes her school work very seriously and strives to get good grades. She is a truly deserving candidate for Student of the Month.

Emily Mathys is a star student in math. She participates in class and completes her work, often times asking for extra practice. She gets along with other students and adults, and is very helpful. Her smile brightens your day and her stories make you laugh.

Special Areas:

Berenice Luva-Otero is helpful and always takes the initiative. She gives great feedback to other students in class. Berenice is on task and works diligently on her projects. She gets increasingly better every week. She’s truly deserving of this month’s student of the month nomination.

Grade 8

Michael Pucciarelli is a respectful, friendly, and mature young man who is committed to doing his best. He is focused and diligently completes his assignments. He is very deserving of the honor for student of the month.

Sara Tippin is consistently conscientious and academically ambitious. She is well mannered and quietly respectful. Sara is gracious in her interactions between adults and peers alike. She is driven to do her best and sets a great example for other students.

Keith Hayden has been doing a wonderful job in all subject areas this marking period, especially in the area of ELA. Keith has been applying himself by working to his full potential and taking great pride in his work. Keith is an eager participant in class and his behavior has been outstanding. Keith should know that his growth as a mature student has not gone unnoticed and that we are proud he is the Student of the Month. Keep up the awesome work, Keith!

Special Areas:

Tyler Willeburgher has been very focused and has shown a high attention to small details. He is respectful and motivated. He sets a great example to others around him.
